Vora is a student of the creek, the Angeles national forest, and the earth. They are a queer storyteller, musician and somatic educator, born and raised by Los Angeles. Their work explores humanity's relationship with the earth and how ancestral memory is transmitted from generation to generation through the body. A sonic and visual storyteller, they synchronize movement, visuals and sound in performances to illuminate themes of mysticism, deep ecology, and humanity’s imprint on nature. Rooted in vibrant experimentation, their work embodies reverence and devotion for the divine.
Vora is also the founder and co-director of Water&Power, an artist-run community space in arts-underserved South LA serving emerging artists. They curate VISCERA, an experimental performing arts show that bridges the gap between DIY and traditional performance art.
